My most recent painting and a true next level. This was painted while listening to "Short Man's Room" by Joe Henry. The sounds of the songs of that album are pleasing and harmonious and the listener is brought into each and every song. This painting is happy with blocks of color that are so comfortably placed next to other blocks of color that this painting becomes passage after passage of aesthetic appeal. Like that music, it is simple on the most surface level but so much more complicated and ultimately richer as you immerse yourself into it.
