This was the very first painting I ever did using the paint thickly in the background in a woven manner. Also, I concentrated on literally sculpting the object. I was so pleased with this painting that from it I branched off into an entire series of more solid subjects that each had an almost human quality and are within woven, colorful and more abstract backgrounds.
